WV Department of Health and Human Resources state-operated facility, Hopemont Hospital of Terra Alta, WV, is currently accepting applications for multiple Registered Nurse vacancies.

This position is eligible for an Appointment Incentive of $11,474.00 to the selected candidate who agrees to work for the agency for a minimum period of twelve (12) months.

Nature of Work
Under general supervision, performs professional work as a staff nurse. Provide nursing care to residents on the assigned unit. Direct assignments and activities of LPN’s and Health Service Workers and evaluate their performance on the job. Coordinate services rendered by nursing with the treatment team. Performs related duties as required. Demonstrated computer skills are required. Shift assignment is subject to change per operational need.

Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position. Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth in agency and bureau policies. This is a tobacco/smoke free campus. Applicants must successfully pass a background check.

Minimum Qualifications

Licensure: Successful completion of an associate degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university or a diploma nursing program; plus one year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a registered professional nurse. OR Bachelor's degree in nursing from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
